Clams...

Fresh and juicy, British Columbia's Manila clams (Tapes philippinarum) are grown on Canada's remote, rugged West Coast. You can also find Littleneck and Butter clam varieties in these parts.

Our cool, nutrient-rich waters offer ideal growing conditions for a year-round supply of superior quality meat.

Because our shellfish are grown under stringent Canadian standards, we are certified for export to the US and other international markets.

All Canadian shellfish are tagged at harvest to ensure full traceability.

BC's clam gowers supply live or frozen product at any time.

Geoduck...

Is the longest-lived and largest burrowing clam in the world. Geoduck are individually harvested one at a time by divers using a directed water jet called a “stinger” which loosens the substrate around the clams and allows them to be carefully lifted out of the sand in top condition.

Geoducks are transported by water and land to registered buyers in the lower mainland of B.C. Then they are carefully packaged and shipped live to places like Hong Kong where they are placed in holding tanks for viewing and sale. For example, a geoduck harvested Monday in the Strait of Georgia would be packaged in Vancouver Monday night and on a flight to Hong Kong Tuesday morning.

All commercially harvested geoducks and horse clams must go through a federally registered shellfish establishment prior to distribution or sale. Until commercially caught geoduck are delivered to a registered shellfish establishment, each of the approved cages must be tagged.

Geoduck from Canada is as nutritious as it is delicious! Geoduck clam meat is packed full of essential nutrients required for optimal health. As an excellent source of protein with less fat and cholesterol found in other protein choices, it is also a rich source of iron.
