British Columbia’s large, succulent scallops, a Weathervane-Japanese hybrid (Patinopecten sp.), are grown on Canada’s remote, rugged West Coast.
Our cool, nutrient-rich waters provide ideal growing conditions for the exceptionally delicious scallops farmed here. BC producers offer a year-round supply of both live whole scallops and fresh shucked meat for market.
Because our shellfish are grown under stringent Canadian standards, we are certified to export to the US and other international markets. All Canadian shellfish are tagged at harvest to ensure full traceability.
BC grown oysters, clams and mussels are also available for market.
